Welcome home Java! On Sunday I went to the shelter to look for a cute little kitten to bring home. After playing with a few, my heart was sold on her. Small enough to pick up with just one hand, she is feisty, has lots of spunk, listens well, and loves to cuddle! She's entirely black and has greenish/amber eyes just like mine. It was meant to be. Here is a little photo gallery of Java Brigitte Colantonio:
She already knows where her food and water bowls are, and her litter box as well. It took no time at all for her to get used to her new domain.

Maybe by perching atop her pet carrier she'd get a better view... I don't really know.

Exploring the rest of the apartment. For the most part she follows me around, constantly near my feet. She also listens when you call her name across the condo, she'll come running to you.

Yes, those are regular small place mat for a table and she fits on it with extra play room to spare.

Peaking outside on the windowsill...I foresee many an afternoon sun bathing for her.

Whenever I am sitting on the ground, she will come over, pounce into my lap and lay there purring with not a care in the world.

I guess the smallest of cat beds is still a little too big.

Java is about 2 months old. She still has super long skinny legs, and kind of wobbles when she tries to run. I am working on trying to puncture a hole in the collar that I got her, since the last hole is still too big. The cutest thing she does right now is when she wants to pounce, she'll crouch done wiggle her butt then jump.
This morning I couldn't help but laugh. I was doing my hair and had left the door open to the shower room. The glass doors were shut, and Java had been trying to see over the ledge. Then the next thing I know, I look over and see her ready to pounce. She did her little butt wiggle and jumped.....and splat she just slammed head first into the glass door. Poor thing! It was horrible to laugh but I just couldn't help it. She's OK though, she just stumbled away a little shaken but walked it off. :-)
