Jon's Birthday Bash

For Jon's birthday this year he invited everyone out for dinner and partying at Mosun in Laguna Beach. First we had cocktails at their place and took cabs down to Laguna Beach. Dinner was phenomenal sushi.

After dinner we all went upstairs to dance the night away at Club M. The following pictures just capture the moments of the night.

the club got pretty crowded, luckily we had a table area reserved

We all had a blast. Apparently Tasha and I now think alike and dress in the same colors! Stephanie was at the party too and she wore a blue shirt like ours! All in all it was one heck of a night of dancing and having fun!

A night out to celebrate my 24th...

On April 3rd a few of my closes friends and I went out for drinks at Javier's in Crystal Cove. The reason was to celebrate my birthday but really it was just an excuse to actually rationalize going out for a drink ;-)

As the evening wore on we drifted over to the corner near a fire pit and snagged two tables. The night really got started and we had such a great time. It was perfect having a small group as we had so that it was easier to talk and lounge.

Jenn and I could not help ourselves making fun of the men that would stand near the fire pit and put one foot up on the rock. We proceeded to talk photos of us mocking them and being silly. Then it turned in to a Captain Morgan type pose:
I must have been caught in the act of something...perhaps acting silly?

Let me tell you, getting up from this in such high heels was oh so very classy and gracious. Good thing there is no sort of photograph capturing that moment...

We were all having a good time...

Thank you all for coming. That evening was a perfect way to wrapping up 3 days worth of birthday celebrations this year!!

My Birthday at the Happiest Place on Earth...

Yesterday was my birthday. Yes, another year has flown by! This year, mom and I took a day off of work and decided to go to Disneyland and make a girls' day out of it. First we had a late breakfast in Costa Mesa at the Omelette Parlor. So good, everyone must go once. The picture above is from the entrance. The restaurant is located in the older part of town, so it was like going back in time. Very fun! The big boy was my date for the day :-)

After breakfast we headed over to the park to start the goody fun! First stop; City Hall, to our birthday pins. We both had out pins out in the open, and have not been told happy birthday that many times during out entire life! Workers, if they see them, are obligated to say Happy Birthday!! After we were set and armed with pins we made a bee-line towards Star Tours (it's tradition). Unfortunately it broke down while we were in line. So after that we headed to the submarines. The ride has been closed for years, and finally just reopened as a Finding Nemo adventure. I highly suggest this!!!

We made our way around the park hopping from one ride to the next.

Splash Mountain...mom is a bit soaked....

Lunchtime! we had our soups and pommes frites at Cafe Orleans :-) Here we are with our complimentary birthday Mickey Beignets. We got to make our birthday wishes!!!

When it was time for us to return to Space Mountain (we had fast passes) we checked out Star Tours to see if it had reopened. I have never gone through that line fast in my life!!!

my FAVORITE droid!

a must

Arnaud--this photo is for you :-)

Towards the end of the evening, and two rides of Big Thunder later, we took a nice boat ride on the Mark Twain. I have never been on it so it was brand new to me. The lights of the park were really pretty.

Around 10 pm we were both spent. We decided to get ourselves a cocktail and dinner at Downtown Disney. We ate at Ralph Brennan's. I had a Southern Cosmo Martini, and Mom tried the Southern Breeze cocktail, and we split the appetizer sampler. It was the perfect meal to wrap up such a fun and eventful day!!!!

It was such a fantastic birthday. Thank you all who messaged, texted, bbm'ed, facebook commented and called from around the world!!! I love you all!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Happy Birthday MOM! April 1st is never April Fool's Day to us in the Colantonio home. It has and always will strictly be mom's birthday. And this year I had her tell me what she would like for dinner..what she was craving. So as her meal we decided on Paprika Chicken with Brown Rice, and for dessert a Fruit Salad with a Banana Citrus Yogurt Dressing.

a new favorite...this is so good after a hearty meal!

We kept it a mellow birthday but I hope mom appreciated it! Knowing how she is not necessarily fond of having a huge hoopla on her birthday, it was nice to keep it intimate. And to many more birthdays ahead at which I will be able to cook!!!!
