What goes through your mind when someone says "Let's go for a drink"?

Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.
This month's Supper Club was hosted by Amy. She invited us all to her fabulous abode, and made a very yummy New Year's feast. IT was such a great turn out, and I'm am so impressed at how well she fed such a large group of hungry and thirsty girls. If there's one thing this group can do well with, it's finishing our drinks and clearing out plates. She prepared collard greens (well as close as you can make them out here on the west coast), black eyed peas for luck, and scrumptious pork. Sarah is the go-to gal for salads and brought a new salad with strawberries and feta. So yummy!

Obviously, from the pictures, the night was a success! Supper Club is always so much fun, and lets us girls have a night for just us. All of you are so much fun! And I cannot wait for the next Supper Club brought to us all by Ashton!!

Happy New Year everyone!!
To party out the year 2008 and bring in 2009, a whole bunch of us went to Woody's Wharf in Newport Beach. The group was about 15 persons, and we had dinner and danced the night away. Dinner started at 7:00 pm, and we stayed out until 2:30 am. I had been sick in bed all week, so this was my first night out in a while. I stayed away and danced my heart out, as much as I could of course. Here are some snapshots taken throughout the night, thanks to Bryan!

This is a belated post. I did not upload these until now. Just before all the holidays started I was invited to a monthly Supper Club that a bunch of the gals throw. Kary hosted it and she had prepared a warm and yummy homemade winter meal. From meatloaf, to warm bread and a scrumptious salad, it was so good! We all sat around sipping wine and munching on the food, and happy that the holidays were just around the corner.

To celebrate Dan's birthday, we invited the Fortmann's over for dinner. It turned out to be just like old times, celebrating Christmas, celebrating his birthday and just having a fun time. With the six of us, the group has definitely dwindled down in numbers. But such is the case with girls :-) We had made first a salad of Lemon Poppy Seed Vinaigrette on a Bed of Greens, Apple, Pear, Cashews and Cranberries, then homemade Seafood Lasagna, and finally Tapioca. I hope Dan enjoyed the night and had a wonderful Birthday Day the following day.

Christmas Eve this year was very mellow. We kept it small and ended up going to Ti Amo to celebrate. Mom and I had a 4 course meal, while Dad and Dag had appetizers and then split a Paella. It was a really splendid evening. The restaurant felt quaint, so it almost seemed like you were at home. But the plus side was that you did not have to cook, nor did you have to do any dishes.

The meal was wonderful. Everything was cooked to perfection. The night was so nice. We got home and stayed up until midnight to put the baby Jesus in the Nativity Scene. Just a typical little tradition :-)
Seems as though I'll be having to take some real golf lessons in the New Year!!!Posted by Sandra Cinthya Colantonio at 9:52 AM 0 comments
As mom and dad were hanging up the Christmas lights, my kitties decided to join them. For once, I was not the one having to decorate, although I did supervise from my bedroom window...yes I know, I am such a helpful child. But I could not have done much better than they did at hanging and decorating. The courtyard looks so fantastic all lit up at night!! So as the two were working hard in the cold (yes is it was very cold) Sly and Java had to come and at least watch.
